"New Products for Month" and other things

Hi there

 

I am new here and so must first appologise if the questions i am about to ask are stupid newbie type thigs but i have trawled through pages and pages of stuff and can't find what i am looking for and have now sent myself crazy.... :'(

 

1. I am trying to set up my first shop which will be an online gallary so i have no use for the "New Products for Month" box on the front page. I would like to have it as a "featured Artists" section instead so i was wondering how i go about changing this to suit my needs?

 

2. I seem to have a small section towards the foot of the page that says'

"Upcoming Products" followed by "Date Expected"....How do i remove this?

 

would appreciate any simple answers as i am but a humble newbie to php.. :rolleyes:

Thanks fitnessa, that link led me to see where the text was that i was able to change to what i require.

 

Now...if someone could point me in the direction of where i can remove the table that seems to be below this section that says' " Upcoming Products" i would be very grateful. I tried removing the text which is below the above but the box is still there and it just looks wiered so i would like to be able to get rid of that section completly.
