Lalla Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 I made a site for someone else and they want it listed with Froogle. They are asking for a data"feed" (before they had asked for a database). What exactly do I send to these people for them to use with Froogle? The databases that I used to create the products on their site are not contained in one db, but a lot of them and since the project basically ended our friendship (they thought I was spending 4 months making them a store for free!) I just want to send them the right database or file and then leave the rest up to them, do not want to spend any more of my time on it at all! Thanks
crash3903 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 they need a csv file you can export this using phpmyadmin regards Regards Mark A Reynolds

Lalla Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 Thanks, but as I said, I do not want to do anything else on this site that takes up my time. I did send her a file and she will have to deal with Froogle if it doesn't work. Thanks again for the suggestions. there is a contribution that will do everything for you.... very easy install and works like a charm! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Integrating it within the admin is not much more than 5 minutes. you will most likely waste more time trying to figure out how to export your data into the correct format and FTP'ing it up then adding this small but very efficient contribution.... good luck....
Jack_mcs Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Hi Lalla. :) If the shop in question has Easy Populate instsalled in it, there is an option to create a Froogle data feed using it. If not, then you are out of luck wihtout installing EP or the contribution mentioned above. Lalla Posted May 31, 2005 Author Posted May 31, 2005 Thank you :-) ! Yes, this site had EP (over 1000 products so a definate EP project!) so I just went there and downloaded the Froogle file and emailed it to her. Its up to her to do the rest. I went way WAY beyond the call of duty and so I'm done! Thanks again :-D Lalla Hi Lalla. :) If the shop in question has Easy Populate instsalled in it, there is an option to create a Froogle data feed using it.
