I think that it is ready to be setup, but I am having problems gaining access to the administration panel. It's like I have this beautiful house, but I can't figure out how to turn the doorknob. Can anybody give me some tips here, please?
GraphicsGuy Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 assuming that you went with the default installation folder locations, the admin is accessed by pointing your browser to: https://www.yourdomain.com/catalog/admin/ Note the https - that enables encryption. And of course you mus replace "yourdomain.com" with your web address. One of the first things you should also do is secure the admin login so that nobody else can get into it. There are several contributions to help you do it. Here is one example: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1359 Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.
