Guest Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 My name is Shawn. I have a OSC store that I use Authorize.net with currently. I am interested in switching to QB Merchant account. I am a little confused on the processing. I have a few questions: Is the change over to QB Merchant going to be transparent to the customers? Or is there going to be another process for them to have to go through? I am also wondering how to get the orders into QB? Will it send me an iif file to import the payment info or do I have to input the info manually. Is there a contribution that does this? Can I import the customer, order and payment info or just the customer/payment info? I read in a post that one person has OSC house all the order/product info and only uses QB to process the payment and customer info. I am thinking that this might be an easier way to go as long as I can get the customer/payment info imported into QB. Can anyone shed a little light on the subject for me? Thanks for any help that you can give. Shawn Quote
Guest Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 why not use turbocash and leave authorizenet alone Quote

A QB merchant account can only be used with QB. You would have to get the payment details from osC and import them into QB to process the transaction. I am also wondering how to get the orders into QB? Will it send me an iif file to import the payment info or do I have to input the info manually. Is there a contribution that does this? Can I import the customer, order and payment info or just the customer/payment info? Look in the contributions, there are QB contributions there. Also check out the support threads for them. I read in a post that one person has OSC house all the order/product info and only uses QB to process the payment and customer info. That is the way it would be have to be done. It would be seamless for the customer, it would not be seamless for you as it requires more steps to complete the transaction. The fees for a regular internet merchant account and a QB merchant account are around the same so I don't know why you would want to put yourself through those extra steps. Quote
