Pink Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 It would be of major benefit to my site to be able to cross-link products. E.g. from a Tibetan Singing Bowls page, I would like to alert a customer to a Japanese Gongs page. It seems this would be done in Products Description box in Admin. However, tep_href_link function does not work for me inside the Products Description box. And if I use a basic HTML link, I lose test-customer's session ID and shopping cart info. This appears to be a dilemma. I would be greatly appreciative if anyone could help in any way.
FalseDawn Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 However, tep_href_link function does not work for me inside the Products Description box. How are you using it?
Wendy James Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 you could always check out the contributions for suggested products or cross sell. Wendy James Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
Guest Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 if you aren't using shared ssl just goto Configuration>Sessions in the admin and change force cookies to on. that will remove all session ids and it will still keep the cart info and customer info.
FalseDawn Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Please, don't post bad advice. It doesn't help anyone.

FalseDawn Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Yes I am. When did the original post mention that the problem had anything to do with Session IDs in the URL? And in any case, the proper way to fix this is to make sure the cookie configurations are correct, not "force cookie use".
TCwho Posted May 29, 2005 Posted May 29, 2005 Also, if he is using shared ssl...setting it to force cookie use could cause more headaches for this person... Drop_Shadow How Did You Hear About Us Email HTML Order Link ---- GMT -5:00
