I am trying to install page cache to a site with SEO already added. I am not having much luck. I just wanted to know if anyone online have done it.

If by SEO you mean Ultimate SEO, then, yes, I installed Ultimate SEO for someone that had page cache already installed.

They should be compatible out of the box...

The first site that had them both installed was my development server where they were coded. Since then there have been at least 100-120 sites that report compatible installations...plus there are probably more that have not reported since no errors were encountered.

What issues are you having specifically?

They should be compatible out of the box...

First of all I was getting errors, something like

/cache/index_english_GBP cant quite remember.

Now there are no errors but nothing is being writen to the cache directory

so I guess its not working.

I think it could be html_output where my problem is.

Replace

if (isset($_sid)) {

$link .= $separator . $_sid;

}

replace with

if (!tep_session_is_registered('customer_id') && ENABLE_PAGE_CACHE == 'true' && class_exists('page_cache')) {

$link .= $separator . '<osCsid>';

} elseif (isset($_sid)) {

$link .= $separator . $_sid;

}

This is what I started with

if (isset($_sid)) {

$link .= $separator . $_sid;

$seo_link .= $separator . $_sid;

$seo_rewrite_link .= $separator . $_sid;

}

if ($seo == 'true') {

return ($seo_rewrite_type == 'Rewrite' ? $seo_rewrite_link : $seo_link);

} else {

return $link;

}

}

I am not very good at code and ended up with this

if (!tep_session_is_registered('customer_id') && ENABLE_PAGE_CACHE == 'true' && class_exists('page_cache')) {

$link .= $separator . '<osCsid>';

} elseif (isset($_sid)) {

$link .= $separator . $_sid;

$seo_link .= $separator . $_sid;

$seo_rewrite_link .= $separator . $_sid;

}

if ($seo == 'true') {

return ($seo_rewrite_type == 'Rewrite' ? $seo_rewrite_link : $seo_link);

} else {

return $link;

}

}

I think I could do with some help with this as really its over my head.

Pete.
