Admin tool after installation

hi, after the successful installation, the admintool can be reached by typing domain/admin from everywhere! how can i protect this?

thanks :-)

Rename admin to something unique - not easy for others to guess

Go to your server management app (cpanel, plesk etc) and add user \ password protection

Reconfigure your paths in admin/includes/configure.php to the new admin name you created above

hi there,

I had just working for this for the whole day and

finally I got the idea...It is very simple to those who manage

website for a living.....but not for me!

First, go to the control panel of your web site, your web hosting

company will show you where it is. It is used to manage your site.

Then there should be a function like "web protect" so you

can use that function to protect any folders or files in your site

by adding "htacces" infront of every folder or file.

never mind what that htacessssssssssss is! something like a log in

page for folders and files.

So people had to type in a username and password if they want to access

those folders and files. Of course you set up the username and password

by using the "web protect".... and you have to set up this for your admin

folder...

got it?

hope you can make it!
