when i use the osc admin to upload this product description:

<b>Specifications</b>
<BR/><b>AGP Slots:</b> 1x AGP 8X/4X<br/>
<b>CPU Type:</b> Intel Pentium 4 Prescott/Celeron<br/>
<b>South Bridge:</b> Intel ICH5R<br/>

<BR>

<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="DSBox">
<tr><td colspan="2"><b>Detailed Specifications</b></td></tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="tblSpecsGroup"><b>Model</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="tblEmp" width="130"><b>Brand</b></td>
<td>ABIT</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="tblSpecsGroup"><b>Physical Spec</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="tblEmp" width="130"><b>Form Factor</b></td>
<td>ATX</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="tblEmp" width="130"><b>Dimensions</b></td>
<td>12.0" x 9.6"</td>
</tr>
</table>

everything turns out fine. however, when i enter that same description into easypopulate using excel then uploading the .txt file, this is what i get when i view the product description in admin:

<b>Specifications</b>
<BR/><b>AGP Slots:</b> 1x AGP 8X/4X<br/>
<b>CPU Type:</b> Intel Pentium 4 Prescott/Celeron<br/>
<b>South Bridge:</b> Intel ICH5R<br/>

<BR>

<table width=蔴%" border=Ŕ" cellspacing=Ŕ" cellpadding=Ŕ" class="DSBox">
<tr><td colspan=Ŗ"><b>Detailed Specifications</b></td></tr>
<tr>
<td colspan=Ŗ" class="tblSpecsGroup"><b>Model</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="tblEmp" width=蕒"><b>Brand</b></td>
<td>ABIT</td>

<tr>
<td colspan=Ŗ" class="tblSpecsGroup"><b>Physical Spec</b></td>

<tr>
<td class="tblEmp" width=蕒"><b>Form Factor</b></td>
<td>ATX</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="tblEmp" width=蕒"><b>Dimensions</b></td>
<td>12.0" x 9.6"</td>

most likely the setting in yoyur easypopulate.php file, read thru it, you can read thru it, seeing where the inserts are for replacing the quotes, etc.

could also deal with the version you downloaded, someone could have changed it.

read thru the easypopulate thread, ad post in there any further comments.

I handle my DB updating a little different, and it works great.

I actually have all my information in one table in an Access database. I then installed the ODBC drivers, and added the relevant osC tables as "linked tables" within access. Then I created append and update queries that automatically add new products, update prices, update quantities, change image file names, descriptions, whatever. It's slightly difficult to set up, but it's incredibly easy to use once you have it working. The best part is that if you screw up your products portion of my mySQL database, you can just emtpy the tables via phpmyadmin, and quickly re-populate them correctly through access.

It's probobly not the optimal solution, but in so doing I don't have the file size limitations that ez-populate does, and I never have any problems!
