Editing language box

Jospin

Recommended Posts

Hi,

at My Webpage, I want to add a japanese flag into the language box, linking to a page. (I don't want to install the whole japanese language)

This is what I want to insert into the language box

<a href="http://www.e-papermodels.com/kami_mokei.php"><img

src="../Japanese.gif" width="24"

height="15" alt="Japanese" border="0"></a>

I tried different places in the include/boxes/language.php files, whit funny results (flag displaying ouside the box, flag displaying 3 times into the box, etc.)

Anyone knows how to do that?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Joe,

Haven't tried this but think it might work :

1. Add your japanese.gif file to your DIR_WS_IMAGES folder.

2. In includes/boxes/languages.php, look for the following :

$languages_string = '';

reset($lng->catalog_languages);

while (list($key, $value) = each($lng->catalog_languages)) {

$languages_string .= ' <a href="' . tep_href_link(basename($PHP_SELF), tep_get_all_get_params(array('language', 'currency')) . 'language=' . $key, $request_type) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES . $value['directory'] . '/images/' . $value['image'], $value['name']) . '</a> ';

}

$info_box_contents = array();

$info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'center',

'text' => $languages_string);

Before the line containing $info_box_contents = array(); insert the following :

$jap_image = 'japanese.gif';

$languages_string .= ' <a href="http://www.xxxxxx">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $jap_image) . '</a>';

(put in your URL as appropriate).

Let me know if it works (or not ....)

Dave
