The e-commerce.

How do I change the starting order number from 1?

Recommended Posts

If you go into PHPMyadim click on orders, then on browse and you will see the order numbers. You can click on the edit button and manually change the order #s. The next order placed will automatically be whatever the next # is.

so if you have orders #1000,1001 and 1002... the next one placed will be 1003.

I believe you should also go into the other 6 tables for orders and change the order #s there as well.

ie: orders_products, orders_products_attributes and so on

easiest to do this if you only have one order placed, so if you have test orders i would suggest deleting all but one and if you do not have any orders... place one.

i am sure there are other ways to do this but it is how i did it.

Thanks Wendy! :o)

That makes sense to me too! I figured that might be the way forward but I was rather hoping there might be an option in the admin area to do it.

This may seem a dumb question, but where on earth is the actual osCommerce documention itself? Isn't there like a proper manual?
