Problems with the admin tool

Recommended Posts

Hi there!!!

I'm having problems setting up the admin tool of osC.

All I get is a blank page.

I turned on the show errors feature in the php.ini, and got this message:

Fatal error: Cannot re-assign $this in C:\Archivos de programa\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\admin\includes\classes\upload.php on line 31

A post in this forum said to comment out line 31. That solve the problem, but I think that's not the right way.

Someone knows a better solution?

Thanks a lot... :blink:

Ok! I found the answer on my own.

If someone have the same problem, just do this:

Open file [Path to your admin tool folder]\includes\classes\upload.php

Go to line 31

And change

$this = null;

for

unset($this);

That's all... :thumbsup:

I hope to save someone's time (I spend a lot resolving this).

Greettings...

I ended up having to do a re-install to cure other problems, but I got this same error again, and this simple fix sorted it once more, so you have hit on a gem as far as I am concerned, nice one.

cheers

Enable register_globals and register_long_arrays in php.ini. This is:

register_globals=on

register_long_arrays=on

That must resolve your problem.
