First thing I would suggest is getting the newest version of osc. There is no "default.php" in the newer version. Not sure why you would have an index.php and a default.php file being called for.

Only other things I can think of is

1. did you upload the default.php to the catalog/languages/english folder?

2. is defualt.php defined in the catalog/includes/filenames.php (or application_top.php which I think is where the files are defined in the older versions) ie: do you see

define('FILENAME_DEFAULT', 'index.php');

or

define('FILENAME_DEFAULT', 'defualt.php');

3. look at the top of your index.php and see if it says

require(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES . $language . '/' . FILENAME_DEFAULT);

and if it does, look at step 2 and whichever one it shows change to the other one. If it shows index.php change to default.php and vice versa

someone else may come along and know exactly what it is but those are my guesses. =)

good luck

gah, I really need to preview my posts before i click submit lol

Hi,

Is this a new install or a problem that has occurred as a result of adding a contribution or another bit of tinkering?
