dssquirt
I have installed the ups shipping charges and the shipping charges are coming up too high. When I do a test order, for example 3 pounds it is $16.17 to send ups. If I go to the ups website and ask for a quote for the same weight it comes up about $3.00 lower. Any ideas on how to fix this? breamillman
Maybe in your admin panel- under configuration - shipping/packaging? There are 2 spots that will affect your final shipping cost: Package Tare Weight & Larger Packages Percentage Increase. If they are both set to anything other than 0- it will add something to your final shipping cost. At least it does in the shipping modules I have installed, and UPS is not one of them. dssquirt
I was told with ups I had to have a tare weight or it would not figure shipping charges. Maybe I will experiment by taking it out and see what happens. Thanks for the input.
jake7390
Hi, I am having the same problem with USPS. I have the tare weight and the percentage increase for larger packages set to zero, as well as no handling charges, but I am still getting shipping charges about three dollars above what they should be for parcel only. For example, for a package weight .29 for same city delivery, it's calculating it at 4 dollars, when in real life the delivery actually only runs about 1.52. Any ideas on where I should look to correct this? Is there any other information I can provide that would help? Thanks!
