vision Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Hi, I've STILL got a pink warning Header over the top of my shopping cart, and I was wondering why it's still not going away. I've been told to change the permission on the file to 444 and/or 400. I've tried both of these on the only file that I can find that would contribute to the shopping cart, and it is: .addonscgi-osCommerce Please tell me if I need to create a new permission file like "configure.php" or what needs to be done to get this "frickin" warning off my page. Here is a link to my shoppingcart with the error: http://pathintime.com/shoppingcart/ * Solicitation Thank-you so so much for your help, it is very mych appreciated.

♥14steve14 Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 if its a windows based system try this: configure.php permissions quick fix on windows based systems <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If indoubt what you are doing, as a temporary fix, enter your site url in internet explorer, but replace the http:// bit with ftp://. If you then click on cat aloge/includes you will see your configure.php file. Right click this file and click on properties. In the boxes that you see, remove the arrow in the write box. I hope i got all that right for you, and that it sorts the problem, if you havent already done so. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
Guest Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 The file you want to change the permissions on is located: /shoppingcart/includes/configure.php It needs to be 444 for the error message to go away. However some hosts have their configurations made so you cannot change it beyond 644 with ftp. In which case you will need to shoot an email to their support and request the permissions to be changed to 444 on that file and the configure.php in the includes directory of your admin. i.e /shoppingcart/admin/includes/configure.php if you haven't renamed or moved admin to another directory.
