Guest Posted May 5, 2005 Share Posted May 5, 2005 I am totally new to oscommerce .. am making slow progress but need some advice on getting images of products to show. I am getting the following message: Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /home/virtual/site422/fst/var/www/html/oscommerce/images/ I am uploading the images to the oscommerce/images folder but I keep getting "image does not exist". I have a long way to go on this store, I can see and it is tedious to have to keep searching for help in the knowledge base, etc. (a manual would be a great idea - like MIVA does) but oscommerce is the shopping cart my client's server offers with their hosting so I am challenged and determined to learn. Guest Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 Well, yes, it will look like that unless you change it. Which you should. Do you know how to access your directories and files? If the permissions are set wrong, your images won't load. You're going to have to put a good bit of time into making your site look and feel like your own. It will be worth it!
