H4eafy
I have a pdf download that most of my customers will be interested in. I was just going to charge 1p for it or something so only buying customers get it (basically free). I hvae seen this on other oscommerce sites. I have set the 'enable download' to 'true' but now im stuck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? mikestackleshop - Loads of Fishing Gear
geekmom
Click on download in the admin section and enable the download feature. I think that's all you have to do. If you offer a freebie, you need to use some modification, which I wish I didn't use because now I have to be so careful modifying my other scripts. My only complaint about oscommerce is the time it takes to add modules that should just be simple additions. If I had an extra programmer, I wouldn't mind but otherwise I simply don't have time to mess with it.
KennethS
After turning everything on you need to create a product. Go to the product attributes section under your catalog (under admin) and add a filename, days available, and downloads to the item. Make sure the filename you specify is case sensitive and is currently available in your /catalog/downloads folder. Also read some in the knowledge base about making sure your directory permissions are set correctly if you have problems. For a freebie just set the price to 0, and Linda McGrath has a contribution for free items/free shipping that works well (You get them to still signup but they do not have to input billing info). Hope this helps. Kenneth S -------------- Customer "Are you a real programmer?"
