rowethd
I have partially completed my first site using OsCommerce and before loading it up with products I wanted to get some feedback on the way it looks. You can find the site at Authentic Autographs Australia I do understand that it is a basic OsCommerce look but I would appreciate all comments anyway so I may be able to improve it. MarcS
Hi The pictures on you home page are not visible. For some reason, I like your color scheme. It is original and different. If you have the titles of the categories in the center of your home page, you should at least turn them into links to the actual categories. You will need to have more than one product No shipping and returns information, but then I suppose that is not really necessary with no products :( Change those buttons. If you do not have graphics software, there are contributions available that will help you create more original buttons. Mark http://www.durance.fr
RyanSmith
Well it's a clean look and feel, but it's hard to really tell what it will be like once you have it loaded up with products. It seems that what your selling is one of a kind type items. Do you have your stock setup to take it off the site once you have sold the product? You don't want people trying to purchase the same item after all. Your two images on the landing page don't show up, you must have a path wrong. I think that your overall landing page needs some help. Get rid of some of the text, and add some more pictures to guide people through the site. I know what I have probably said this 20 times in the last week in this forum, but people don't like to read. Most people will not take the time to read anything unless their attention is already grabbed and they really want to know more. Well good luck with the site. I'll be interested to see it once all your products have been added. osCommerce is a great piece of software with wonderful contributions. Spend some time in the contribution area. There are a lot of gems there.
