Positioning Search Bar in Header

Hi i am in great need of someones wisdom,

 

And hopefully we can turn this into a contribution

 

Now i went into the knowledge base and i centered my page and columns accordingly

 

Now my absolute positioned search bar (and advanced search link) keep shifting around the page, I want to keep in on top of the search bar which is located just under the Header, (i have the whole page centered) when you shrink the page or view it at a different resolution

Sounds very easy to just stick it in a row under the header?!?
