Quasi
Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has implemented a drop down menu with the various charge/credit card types in it rather than using cc_validation.php Found this thread about making a drop down menu and though it creates one for cosmetic purposes it doesnt actually pass the information on. One comment in that thread mentions it only needs to be cosmetic cos cc_validation detect the card type anyway, but this is becoming increasingly untrue as the card ranges change - I keep getting customers saying they cant buy stuff cos their new card isnt recognised. Having a drop down menu would side step the whole idea of needing the cc_validation code to be up to date. I'm using MS1 but if you have code for MS2 thats good too :) Failing that....whats the current card range/regex expression for Visa Electron cards? Does this smell like chloroform to you? escom
This would be a great idea as the problem of verifing cards has caught me out 3 or 4 time in the last 1 1/2 years of running my store. Because I integrate with Protx which needs to know which type of card it is we have to go through the cc_validation. If we could remove this hurdle for a simple "pick your card" drop down that would be best.
