paypal popup when checking out

I just installed the paypal check out and all seems to work fine but when I confirm order i get a pop up screen that says "unable to establish a secure connection to 'secure.paypal.com'. there is a problem with the security certificate from that site (The identity certificate has expired." the information you view and send will be readable to others while in transit, and it may not go to the intednded party. continue loading this page? And it gives me an option to stop or contimue. How can I fix?

One more, how do I protect my store directory because when I go to store my directory list shows up?

If you have access to PHPMYADMIN where your site is hosted there should be an area called protected directories, this is where you can protect your admin folder. This is the easiest way IMO of protecting it.
