dsatchell
I have a Random New Products contribution loaded which works pretty decent except that I'm loading up my wifes jewelry store and of course I loaded all of the earrings, then the necklaces, etc. The random module works but only for products loaded within a certain time or something. Anyways the end result is that the random products that it picks from always seem to come from the same category that I last uploaded to. It assumes that I would upload a few new products to each category at a time and then it would work perfect. So what I want to do is go into the database after I've loaded everything and just change up the Product ID (the pID) on a bunch of the items; making sure that I follow any Primary/Secondary Key restrictions. 1. How would I best do this? 2. Why would I not want to do it this way and what are my alternatives? Thanx, Dave.
