Hello all,

 

I'm new to the international OSCo forum. Normally I participate on the Dutch board, but no one over there seems to know the answer to my question.

 

I want customers to be able to pre-order items from my webshop.

I sell model cars and sometimes customers dearly want a certain model, but are also awaiting new stock to arrive.

I want them to be able pre order their wanted cars, and when the other stock has arrived, to finalize the order.

 

The functionality I'm looking for, is like this:

Pre ordering an item must decrease the stock level of that product.

During creation of a 'real' order, customer must be able to discard any pre-ordered products (as he/she hasn't paid for them yet)

After the order is created, all pre ordered items not included in order are released back to stock.

After a certain amount of time (6 weeks?), pre ordered items are released to stock again.

 

Is there a contrib for this? Have searched long & hard, but...

 

I also welcome suggestions on how something like this can be set up...

I found a dozen similar requests and never an answer. Apparently there is no solution?
