Contributions sections need to be more efficient

I know this was re-done not very long ago, but I think it needs to be improved upon. There needs to be a beta section and a final section. Also, I'm not so sure if I like the idea of anybody being able to post updates. I get so confused sometimes by which is the best most recent version....a lot of times updates are something like made to work with XXXXX contribution, and then the next update is a new version of the mod.

There needs to be some way to clean this up a bit I think.

Just posting my thoughts coming from a random user. Maybe I'm just overlooking something, if so, please let me know!

Countless post has been posted about just this issue, but since there has not been made any new advances.....

Here is what you could do...

Set up a virgin test site, test out any contributions which you find interesting on the test site.....

When you have it working to your satisfaction, install it on your live site.

Thanks for the response, as you can tell, I don't have much of a chance to keep up-to-date completely on what's going on over here...just a quick glance from time to time.

That's a great idea, and I will definitely do that!
