Lucicerious
Thinking of other options available to me, as my current shopping cart costs me ?20 a month to subscribe for, but I can integrate the product codes onto a website that I made in frontpage. So it's jsut there for its basic purpose, I was wondering is it possible to do the same with osCommerce, make a database with all your items and then create "buy" links and links to "checkout" section and paste them into my own website. Many thx to anyone that answers
Guest
oscommerce is a complete store solution, requires you to have a mysql database, which gets populated with your products. take a look at the 'My Store' forum and look at some sites. you can not use FrontPage to piece the store together tho. Jeremy at oddly enough
You'll be better off using the page you've already created as a goal to modify an osc cart to look like. Trying to hack it apart and plug it in pieces into another site is possible, but a lot more trouble than it's worth. Much easier to use the stylesheet, and modifications to the code to reproduce the look you're after, while allowing osc to function as it should. For the time you invest, you'll save 40 pounds a month, and you won't be dependent upon them for your store to operate. Jeremy
