Parse error after using order confirmation

Recommended Posts

I am a newbie here so sorry if my question is dumb or posted in the wrong place...

I recently (a few moments ago) installed Steve Kemp's payment module contribution for Australian bank transfers. I put through a test order and I saw all the banking details as I should but when I pressed "Confirm Order" I got a parse error which said:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_IF in /home/<path to store>/catalog/checkout_process.php on line 17"

Lines 16 onwards of the checkout_process.php file read:

// if the customer is not logged on, redirect them to the login page

if (!tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) {

$navigation->set_snapshot(array('mode' => 'SSL', 'page' => FILENAME_CHECKOUT_PAYMENT));

tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, '', 'SSL'));

I am not sure why that would be the point of failure, but like I said - newbie :D

I then tried using a money order as the payment method and it failed also. I tried using PayPal as the payment method and then the order came through into the admin tool and I was forwarded to PayPal to complete the payment (I am using the PayPal IPN payment module).

It's probably also worth mentioning that I am using a temporary SSL cert because I haven't set mine up yet.

Can anyone shed some light on what I am doing wrong here?

Thanks all!
