Digitizer
I'm assuming this will be easy for any intermediate/advanced user... But how can I make http://www.mysite/catalog become my default page, when people go to my site? Right now, the homepage is: http://www.mysite/index.html Not sure...please help! Thanks!!!! rumphrey
Go into your control panel and redirct the link from htttp://www.mysite.com to http://www.mysite.com/catalog When the redirct is completed in the control panel (by you), a visitor to your site will type www.mysite.com into the url address, and then the site will automatically redirected the user to your catalog. ♥Vger
Best to load your store into the root of your web (no 'catalog' folder). Yes, you can redirect, but it will get you marked down by search engines. Vger
Digitizer
Wow. What a great tip! Should I just go ahead and move it into the Root?
Badjokes
Wow. What a great tip! Should I just go ahead and move it into the Root? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, but don't forget to update BOTH configure.php files with the new path.
Digitizer
I guess it's also possible to put in a simple PHP script as follows, in the root directory: <header("Location: /catalog");>
