Guest
Very common problem with Paypal. The easiest fix I know, and have used very successfully, is to enable the auto-return feature at your Paypal account. This will help get the customer back to your store at which time, the info transmits back to your store from Paypal. You see, Paypal won't send it until that happens. So, your customers' carts are still full in your system, but they've paid. They think they completed the purchase once they reached Paypal. They surfed away from there (probably to look at their account status or something. You can also install a contrib that logs the order before it leaves your shop. One is built specifically for Paypal and I think there's one that works for any processor you use. Look in the Contributions. Another help is to install Master Password. This will let you into anyone's account from the front end. From there you can complete the sale by check/moneyorder and then mark it paid in your Admin side. Just remember, they'll then get an e-mail and might be confused when it says they're supposed to pay by check (because they know they've paid). Either send them an e-mail to clarify or something. You could just gather the info from their cart and process without finishing their order for them. This is all for the orders already missing. Fix the problem first so you don't lose any more orders, then go back and clean up the others. Hope this has been helpful
Guest
Just a quick note about this. The auto-return is NOT guaranteed to get the customer back to your store to complete the sale. However, I've had >99% success with this alone. I never installed the Contrib because it wasn't needed in my case. I have heard it works very well.
