Nine nits on installation

After much searching, I found your shopping cart. Thanks!

1. I offer my books both as downloads and shippables. The latter are to have a flat rate of $6 for 1 to 5 units. I find "flat rate, best way" set to $5, and no info on how to edit.

2. After replacing my present PayPal buylinks with your cart, I want to explore other payment gates, hopefully with low rates and fixed costs. Suggestions for US solutions would be appreciated, hopefully to be found in http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions

3. Error message says PayPal certificate expired 2004. Is that in the package or on my PC?

4. I will edit templates so that "suburb" becomes "address-2", which I think should be your default.

5. Why are my images squashed vertically? They now look like trash.

http://www.oscommerce.info/docs/english/e_images.html says I can edit size, but I'd like to do so individually, not blanket.

6. I'd like to replace the language icon of Britain with USA. Not yet found in http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions

Some sites have a dual-flag icon, which you might consider.

7. On prices, why are net and gross the same? This would be great place for inserting fixed s&h, or similar.

8. After installation, what should be the permissions on catalog/includes/configure.php?

9. Can anyone comment on low cost SSL certificates, such as the free one found at http://www.cacert.org/index.php?id=16, and $30pa at https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/ssl/ssl.asp?

I'm about to dive into the templates, hopefully to make some similarity to my existing site pages. I have yet to test a purchase of the ebooks, to watch return links. I'll first change prices to 1 cent.

All in all, a great package, apparently better than many at big cost.

Thanks to all who contributed.

p.s.: I accidentaly posted twice, trying to enable email notification. How do I delete the first?
