Dacotah Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Here is my dilema. We can send mail to and receive mail in our domain web client. But all email coming from OSC including Forgot Password, Contact Us, Order Status, Customer Notification is all not working. No changes have been made to our setup in the last month by us. We are on a shared server and as far as I know I don't have access to the sendmail logs. Our email had been working last week, but I did notice that this week seemed more quiet than normal. Email options are still set to Sendmail, LF, False, False, True. The email address is still set correctly to [email protected] Last Saturday we had a spammer use our domain as a return address I believe. We got swamped with 600 bounces. He took the week off until today and is hitting it again, but I don't know how this would affect anything since our web based mail through the domain still works. OSC always gives a "Success! " note when sending an email from OSC. Our hosting support said they didn't support OSC and to make sure our return address is set correctly. All of our customer communication is through e-mail so I really need help with this. Thanks, Scott
Dacotah Posted April 29, 2005 Author Posted April 29, 2005 :thumbsup: Ok, after calling the host directly the tech watched the mail log and found out it was a quota issue. Three clicks later and he had it resolved... after hours of myself pulling my hair out. Here they had made Sendmail changes and that was the problem. The spammer? well, he's still going at it. :angry:
