I add some fields in table products for book, such as author, isbn, etc.

 

And I think there must have otherthings need to be improved in osc for a book store.

There isn't a specific "book store" contribution. Instead, think about the features you would want to see if you went to a web site to buy books. Then, check if osCommerce has then. If not, search the contributions for them.

 

You are off to a good start with adding author, isbn, etc. What else makes a book store different from a generic widget store?
