Download Products Problem

Recommended Posts

Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /public_html/shopdownload/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

I am getting the above problem with my site but have now fixed it by creating a directory /public_html/shopdownload/

However with out testing it I am not sure that it is right, everything else says I should have a directory called download & pub which I have at /public_html/shop/download/ and /public_html/shop/pub/ and my config.php reads as

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME']));

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

Any ideas

Russell

PS is there anywhere on the board where we can post sites that may be of use to others? Whilst browsing I found the following site http://www.grsites.com/ for creating free buttons and logos etc I had found a better one but lost the url

because of this:

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME']));

use this:

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . '/download/');

I am now getting the following

Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: DIR_FS_CATALOG/download/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

I have changed my config to

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/');

// define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME']));

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . '/download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

Below is the path to my download folder/s

/public_html/shop/download

/public_html/shop/pub

I have tried various combinations but none seem to work

Many thanks

Russell
