Guest
Id advise anyone having problems installing on a windows server, to manually edit the config.php file in the includes folder to install, rather than attempting the buggy install auto folder. Always remember to delete the install directory too. if anyone wants any help here please simply email me their config file and url to the place you want the oscommerce. I will highlight the fields you need to fill in.
♥Vger
The auto-install is not 'buggy' not even on a Windows server. The problems (if they happen) come about because of what some hosting companies do to try and lock down php on their Windows (hacking prone) servers - like running php in safe mode, disallowing file uploads in php etc. I see that you posted your web url in your signature, which is self-promotion and against forum rules.
