Laney
I need to change a little how this page works, and would appreciate some help and/or guidance on how to: When I click on "new products" on the left column, I am taken to the "new products" page (products_new.php). There's a button there that says "add to cart", but really what this button does it to take you to a page where you can find more info about that product. I want that button to say "more info", but the problem is that's the same button that is going to add the item to the cart on the next page. How can I change that? Take a look at my products_new.php here (don't worry about the images broken links): http://www.meaningfulscraps.com/emporium/products_new.php Now, when you click on the "add to cart" (the one that should say "more info" instead) and you are taken to the next page, you will see 2 buttons: "reviews" and "add to cart". Add to cart will now add the item to the cart and stay on the same page. Here I want the add to cart process to add the item to the cart BUT redirect to the "new products" page. I also want a new button on this page (in between the other 2), that should say "back" and will take the customer back to the "new products" page. Can anyone help? thanks! julianpuje
If the product has attributes it will take you to the product to view and select an attribute before you add it to your cart, if it doesn't have an attribute, it can be added to your cart straight away, so it will add it to the cart. I personally removed the button completely by disabling the "buy Now" button/column in the Admin options. I think the "buy now" button puts potential customers off clicking it anyway, as they're not too sure what they are committing themselves to if they click it. HTH Julian theres a "clever" back button in the contributions, which you can use pretty much anywhere you want.. A little knowledge is dangerous, I SHOULD KNOW. If Life Begins At 40, What ends???? Laney
Hi Julian, did you look at my site? I know which "buy now" button you are refering to, but that's not the one I am talking about, I did disabled that column on the products listing... I am talking about the "new products", maybe you don't have that box enabled on your left column? Would you mind taking a look at my site (link on original posting) and see what I mean? thanks!
