paypal unauthorized request error

Hello I'm a stressed out newbie.

Everything seemed to be going along smoothly, installed without a hitch, did configurations for taxes and shipping (seem to work well), added a new product, then went to the cart site and tried to purchase the item and got a bunch of errors (two, (I'm tired)) when I got to confirm order in the purchase chronology.

When I press the button the first time I get a dialog box that says that paypal's certificate is expired!? Then when I press continue I get a dialog box with the following error:

'Error trying to validate certificate from secure.paypal.com using OCSP - unauthorized request.'

Does anybody have a clue as to what this means?

Yep. The web URL for PayPal is wrong in the module.

You need to edit:

catalog/includes/modules/payment/paypal.php

Change line:

$this->form_action_url = 'https://secure.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr';

To This:

$this->form_action_url = 'https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr';
