Info box???

Guest

Recommended Posts

I want to put a info box on my site. There is something like it on http://www.bagborroworsteal.com at the bottom left hand corner. I want to add a "Celebrity Handbag Watch" to my site at www.elitebags.net. If there is already a contribution (somewhere in the 16 pages of info boxes), then I'd like to know which one to get... If not, I guess I want to know how easy it would be to design one. Thanks!

which kind of box you would want to use will depend on what is going into it.... that site all it is is an image with a link, you dont need a box to do that.

But how would I add something like that and link it to another "products page" with the pictures that I've scanned?

If you just want to add an image and put a link to a page

you would need to go into catalog/includes/column_left.php

and add the code there, just like you would on any html page

below is an example

?>

<tr><td><a href="link.html"><img src="images/imagename.jpg"></a></td></tr>

You have to make sure you put it after the last

?>

and you use the tr and td tags or it will mess up the page

and the link will have to be a little different if you are going to be linking to a page inside of your store so you can keep your sessions

If you want to link to pages inside of your store there are several contributions that can do the job, if you are not familiar with code I would really suggest getting one

you may be surpised at what you can find if you take the time to look through the contributions

Hmmm... Now I can't seem to find what I would need to download... lol. I don't want this new "products page" showing up under my categories column. Would it be easier to make it an HTML page inside the store? Is that possible to do??? I'm so confused by all of this...
