Problems with download products

I've read all the threads, believe me ... I'm bound to be doing something STUPID! Please help.

Here is an excert from the /httpdocs/store/includes/configure.php file:

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME']));

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

BUT ...

Although I have a "download" folder at /httpdocs/store/download/ - when I load the homepage of the cart, there is a warning across the top that reads:

Warning Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/storedownload/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

So, I created a directory called /storedownload in this location, and the error goes away. I upload products into this directly (for example, a mp3 file), but when i attempt to download it, I get a tiny 4K file that reads:

<br />

<b>Warning</b>: opendir(/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/storepub/): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/download.php</b> on line <b>59</b><br />

<br />

<b>Warning</b>: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/download.php</b> on line <b>60</b><br />

<br />

<b>Warning</b>: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/download.php</b> on line <b>74</b><br />

<br />

<b>Warning</b>: mkdir(/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/storepub/.pdwqfoqqgjjtstxbzf): No such file or directory in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/download.php</b> on line <b>91</b><br />

<br />

<b>Warning</b>: symlink(): No such file or directory in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/download.php</b> on line <b>92</b><br />

<br />

<b>Warning</b>: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/download.php:59) in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/hppchristianhosting.com/subdomains/oscommerce/httpdocs/store/includes/functions/general.php</b> on line <b>29</b><br />

What is screwed up???

If my configure.php file says that the directory is "download", why does the cart say it wants it at /storedownload?

Thanks,

Fred
