Redtail
MySql crashes and needs rebooting after accessing it. I have full access and permissions in mysql. After connecting with oscommerce or phpmyadmin the mysql server locks up and needs to be rebooted. This happens after the database has been queried 3-4 times. My host provider is at a loss due to thier tec up and quitting on them and now my store is unavailable. Any help and info would be much appreciated. I can get any info as to configurations needed. I also have access with phpinfo.php OpenBSD 3.6 GENERIC#59 i386 PHP Version 4.3.10 Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) PHP/4.3.10 mod_ssl/2.8.16 OpenSSL/0.9.7d MySql 4.0.
♥Vger
Check in both of your configure.php files, close to the bottom, where it says 'Use_pconnect' to make sure this is set to 'false' and not 'true' Keeping connections open may be the cause of the problem. Far more likely as the cause of the problem are the following: 1. FreeBSD is a rubbish system 2. You are hosted with a mickey-mouse outfit. Guest
ahh, openbsd is much different than freebsd . .. you need to move to another host. you pay for what you get.
