Build your own widget

Hello everyone, I am new to osCommerce and have thus far found the contributions and modifications fairly easy to install and use. However, one of the goals of the site I am building is to have a "build your own" section where customers can build their own bicycles, for instance, by starting with a frame, then selecting wheels, etc. The only catch is only certian wheels will attach to certian frames. I have scoured the contributions section trying to find something that might be close to what I am looking for and the closest thing I can find is the Custom Computer Creator. I was wondering if anyone else has ran across the same sitution I am in and if anyone can point me in the right direction of how to proceed in the build your own site/cart creation.

I am looking at CCC for another widget, custom knives (select blade style, custom handle, pins, inlay, etc.) Why don't you think CCC will work for you?

...and I thought about using it for custom wands- handle, taper, wood, stones...

My biggest problem is having to create all those images!

I didn't know if it would work 100% or not I had just briefly checked into it but it sound like you are going to use CCC for something similar to what I am doing. Plus I wanted to get some others opinions the contrib and maybe some of the methods others used to build similar "build your own product" stores. I was just worried it might have been specific to custom computers only.

Try Master Products - if you are real good you can also combine it with Flash to do a neat visual 'build your own'.
