Simple site editing

OK, I've got my OSCommerce installed and have also installed a new template.

But I am sure there must be an easier way to edit the main content of my pages other than to edit the PHP files.

 

For example on the front page if I want to add my own content above and below and maybe instead of the default, Welcome Guest etc...

 

Or am I just being thick and not noticing an easy "Edit your front page" icon in the Admin Control Panel.

 

I have no problem with editing the PHP files, but the guys who will be looking after this site once I've finished it are not going to handle this.

Tweak the listing in Admin- the box in column left, so that all the languages tools are clearly titled as such. I put them in a seperate box from the rest of the tools, when I make a site for a novice. I install this mod every time!

Thanks for that. I have installed but am having issues... I think it is my interpretation of the instructions..

 

Where the install instructions state...

 

---[ FIND ]---

 

---[ ABOVE, INSERT ]---

 

I have inserted the code above the code...

 

Later on, however in the install txt. it says

 

---[ BEFORE, INSERT ]---

 

This leads me to think that I have inserted the code into the wrong place.

 

Can you help?
