Moving customers to new store

I am making a new updated store. Before my store goes live, I need to move all my current customers from my old store to my new one. I assume there is more than one way to do this:

 

1. Export customers' information and enter it manually (as if I were the customer) in the new store. I have tried THIS CONTRIBUTION and edited it to additionally export the password, but the passwords are still encrypted. Is it possible to DEcrypt the pass word before it exports the excel file?

 

2. Export the "customers table" somehow (beyond me) into an .sql file and query the new db with that file.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

 

FYI - the two stores are vastly different, so simply exporting the db from the old and querying it to the new won't work.

Surely I'm not the first person to need to do this.

 

I'm surprised theres not some way to just export all customers and ALL their info to an .sql file, to be ran on another database to add it in.
