Not seeing all orders

Hi!

I'm using oscommerce with a paypal payment portal. Sometimes, not always, I receive a payment through paypal but there's no order pending in the oscommerce pending orders. It seems the customer registration / account also doesn't exist in these instances.

I'm not sure how the customer might get through the payment process without registering and completing their order. I've not been able to personally duplicate the problem through testing. Anyone dealt with this before or have some suggestions?

Thanks!!!

The customer is likely not completing the transaction by returning to your site. There are tons of threads about this, one solution is to install the paypal IPN contribution. There are other fixes, that you can find by searching the forum.

Good Luck,

If you are using the standard paypal payment that comes with stock osc... just go to paypal.com, log in... click on merchant tools, then on Auto Return

this will send people back to your site and complete the process even if they do not click continue. You just have to put a return url.

I use http://homyurl.com/checkout_success.php so that they see the confirmation page with their orders details. Works great =)

What about customers with an osCsid in the URL? They will lose their session and will be redirected to the login page.
