Affiliate sales not registering

I use the affiliate module of OSC and am having a big problem - the software tracks clicks and all the associated details sent by my affiliates no problems but it doesnt track any sales made. One of my affiliates has sent me 4000 hits in the last week and not one single sale - if it was just a small affiliate I would assume that they werent generating any business but these guys are in the same business AND my business has increased marginally since signing them up but I honestly dont know if they arent generating any sales or if the setup is screwed but either way I need to know. Is there anything I need to check or make sure I have done to ensure that sales are registered?

Although you should have posted to the support thread I'll give you my 2 cents.

It's very easy to verify/validate your affiliate sales on your production site.

 

First clear the cookies from your browser. Then simply pretend you are a customer and make a purchase using a link from your affiliate's site. That would confirm if it's working.

 

You can always cancel the order after you're done testing. If you do not want to use your real credit card, use a payment method such as Check/MO. That should work fine.

Hi Rob - sorry for posting in the wrong place :blush:

 

I have just done as you say and while the click is registered the sale is not - any ideas what might be wrong??
