needs_a_nap Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I've been using OsC from it's early days of a 2002 snapshot, right up to MS 2.2. Love it, and couldn't live without it. Once upon a time, the admin setting "Search engine friendly URL's" worked, and worked great. It seems like just a few months back, they stopped working. I see by the forums that this happened for many, many people. My server has mod_rewrite enabled, so that is not the problem. I cannot use a SID killer, as the cart uses a shared SSL. Pouring over the forums the past week has led me to the conclusion that most, if not all, of the SEO mods are buggy. The site gets great rankings for one category, but not another. I know the Googlebots are now limiting their spidering of dynamic pages due to ending up in "loops" and running up bandwidth (which I understand, I've had to chase one out in the past). Does anyone know what really happened to the SEFU feature on the cart? Does it look like MS 3 might have the fix? And please... don't tell me "it's under development for a reason" - like I said, it used to work great. I'm just curious as to why it stopped working.
