index page is NOT in default language - HELP!

Site setup had no problems, I added new language, marked it as default language. works OK ... but no matter what i do, the the index page (when you first arrive on the site) is always in English. :angry:

 

I even deleted the English language. First page is still not displayed in Default language.

 

Only way for me to get the default language is to click on the language flag but this in not what i need.

tehere is no edit feature in this forum so i have to add a reply:

 

the solution is simple.

 

all i had to do is comment out 3 lines of code from /includes/application_top.php

//    }

 

this is at line 277
