Guest Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I've tried both of these contribs with no luck- What I'm trying to accomplish: I would like the database to add a new, random special each day that is good for 24 hours. The first contrib: Specials_random does this but it only seems to pull products from the first couple of categories it finds (and keeps going back to those specials- I have roughly 2800 products of which only about 40 or so ever go on special with this contrib). The second contrib: Today I tried installing the Specials_Valid_From contrib- I figured if this would work I could go ahead and shuffle around my products in Works and set the sql code up and just dump it into the Specials table and get the same result. It did work for me in the main- it's just that the special I tested with went immediately on special instead of waiting until the date specified. Has anyone else using either of these run into the same problems? Any ideas where to look to get them running? Quote

Have emailed Felix the person who developed it. Darren Quote

So I have set them inactive manually, will see if it works over the next couple of weeks? Darren Quote
