karelvo Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Hello, I just installed osCommerce, wich is a great project by the way!! I pretty much configered the shop but I keep getting the Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /lns/kvanorsh/web/.../includes/configure.php warning message. My files are on a remote server where I rent webspace. How do I change the rights of this file on the remote server? karelvo
♥Vger Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 If you have a web hosting control panel then you can use the File Manager to change the configure.php permissions. If your server is either Unix or Linux based then you can change the permissions by using the chmod command after FTP'ing to your site. If your server is Windows and you have no web hosting control panel (or no File Manager) then you will have to use either Telnet or SSH access. Vger
