Local Installation Failed....

Hello. I am trying to install a local copy of osCommerce.

 

I am running Windows XP Pro, Apache2, PHP4 and MYSQL.

 

Everytime I access the osCommerce folder for installation, I am given this error:

 

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

 

Even if I enable the register_globals, I still get the same error. Any ideas?

you need to edit the php.ini in c:\windows, then reboot the system. not supposed to have to reboot, but i found it works that way.

:( cannot find php.ini in c:\windows, but i've edited 3 php.ini in

c:\easyphp\apache

c:\easyphp\conf_files

c:\easyphp\php

 

cannot say wich is the right one but now it works :thumbsup:

I only have one PHP.INI file and its in Windows....been edited...rebooted..still same prob. damn it.
