Contribution for easy changeing index main tekst

Any one know a constribution so I easy can change the main text on ex. catalog/inkludes/lang./english/index.php ? I have tried searching whit no luck, i have tried:

Change text, Guide, Quick guide and things like that.

 

One more question, where can i change the logo in the top to my own logo?
