The downloadable products directory does not exist

Hi!

 

I've just changed servers and managed (almost) to get OSC back up and running.

 

My Admin works, the store works I think (well all the products are there, and the product pages generate OK, so I guess the database must be OK!).

 

BUT...

 

I get the message:

 

Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /home/myuser/mydomain.com/adcstoretest/download/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

 

But it does, I'm sure it does, I've checked and double checked and then.. I checked again!

 

I looked in configure.php and it says:

 

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/');

define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/');

 

My directory structure on the site is:

 

adcstoretest (cause I'm testing it!)

- admin

- download

- images

 

--- etc

 

It's probably something obvious.

 

--- I got rid of it by disabling the download option in ADMIN ---

But, I would like to know what may have been causing it in the first place and where I should look!
