hiding categories

Hello All

 

I am wondering if it is possible to hide a category. That is leave it in the store but turn it off so no one can see it for certain periods of the year.

 

We have certain products we can only sell during certain months and hope to not have to delete the category and then re-create everything when we want to add it back in.

 

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
